Sprint PPC-6700 Smartphone Runs Windows Mobile 6 Pro

Sprint PPC-6700
The Sprint PPC-6700 Smartphone is the first phone to use Windows Mobile 6 Pro. With it’s high-tech design the Sprint PPC-6700 also has a 2.8in, 320×240 pixel, colour display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. But that’s not all! The Sprint PPC-6700 also provides handheld Internet access and can be used as a modem for a laptop or computer. It can also use the 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connections.
The Sprint PPC-6700′s internet applications are as follows: *Pocket PC Internet Explorer
*Windows Office Mobile with direct wireless access to Exchange Server 2003.
Also the Sprint PPX-6700 is the first phone that allows the use of Java applications.
The Sprint PPC-6700 has a touch screen, camera, Internet access, stereo Bluetooth and support for a music download service. The Mogul costs $399 has 786M of memory (256M fixed plus a 512M microSD card) so perhaps the $US499 price tag on the 4G iPhone isn’t as far out of kilter as some commentators have suggested.
Rev 0 (typically 400-700kbps with peaks up to 2Mbps). Where Rev A provides a useful increase in peak download speed to 3.1Mbps plus a more significant boost in peak upload rates from 153kbps to 1.8Mbps.) LOL Yes I know it’s technical.
The module of this Smartphone is expected to be completed by the third quater this year!

The sprint/htc mogul is the ppc 6800, the phone you have pictured above the article & the phone in the video are two different phones. the one above is the previous model the ppc 6700 and it runs windows mobile 5. the ppc 6800 is also not the first phone to run windows mobile 6 pro, that would be the tmobile/htc wing

How about battery life?

my point was that your article is misleading the ppc 6700 doesn’t run windows mobile 6, the 6800 does & they are two different phones.

You are incorrect DRTlilly, the Mogul WAS the first phone to use WM6. Tmobile was behind by atleast 1 month.

Oh, and I forgot. The 6700 DOES run Windows Mobile 6. Do a search and you will find it posted on plenty of sites. It may not come with it from Spring/Verizon, but it runs it with no problems. My point is that people should not post something as ‘fact’ when they are wrong in the first place.

Ya the 6800 is the one with the QWERTY keyboard as well the 6700 does not have the same keyboard. In fact with the exception of saying the phone is the first to have WM6 you could just change all the 6700′s to 6800 and it would be a bit more accurate. Try doing some research before misposting.

Actually, this last month Helmi_C at ppcgeeks was able to get WM6 running on the PPC-6700 and made the roms available. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7671. This of course was not an official release, but persons who have done this mod have mostly been very pleased.

that’s right the 6800 mogul runs the windows mobile 6 not PPC 6700;
if it does then send me the link so I can upgrade my software from windows mobile 5 to 6.
